Hello,
I'd just uploaded a wallpaper and clicked on it to check to see if it was there,
but received a message:
"The specified gallery item has either been deleted or doesn't
exist."
I tried clicking a bunch of other new uploads from other people, but got the
same message for those, too! D'oh!
I was initially seduced by the scans and the ability to share a bunch of large
scans I had. But then I realized it was a good way to get feedback on my
wallpapers. Not walling as much now, but...still come here to see what's what.
Just as a note, though, some of us with wallpaper websites also post our walls
on here...so check to see if they list the website in their info. I put my new
stuff up here first.
Ultimately, you need to take a look at the requirements for the jobs you want to
get. I found that most of the jobs I wanted required a Master's, so I decided
I'd better get one (and that's what I'm doing currently). That's really the
deciding factor. There's nothing writh NOT getting that degree, either!
You'll also want to "shop around" for the best place to get your
degree, if you decided you want to go that route. Some universities are better
known for specific MAs than others.
living causes cancer. But
yeah, aspartame and all the artificial stuff is VERY bad for you. I believe the
higher rate of autism now is caused by aspartame (seemed to have gone up a
little after aspartame - Nutrasweet - was introduced into the world). Then
again, I'm not a scientist.
I'm not upset because some of my walls have been deleted - I have my own site
and can stick 'em up there - BUT I'm very concerned that this will be
disheartening to new wallers. When someone's first starting to use Photoshop,
they often don't quite understand what makes a good wall and what doesn't. They
need that feedback that only a place like MT can provide. I have improved a LOT
through having my walls up here and people telling me what they did/didn't like.
New wallers who have their walls deleted (especially right away) won't get that
valuable feedback. A generic "your wall didn't meet standards, it could
have been this and this and this wrong" won't help them out in the least.
And those new wallers may WANT to improve, but without feedback, they could
easily get discouraged.
Everybody starts out with crappy walls. EVERYbody. They need time and feedback
to improve.
One idea might be to focus more on deleting walls from people who have been here
a while (yes, like me :P ), and let the newbs have their walls up longer, even
if they aren't so good, so they can get feedback.
I especially like it here because people post constructive criticism - not just
"omg ur wall sux0r!!!" I can't learn how to make better walls if
people don't tell what's not working with a wall....and they do! And I really
feel it's because of MT that I have improved.
My life is extremely unbalanced. I just started my graduate studies and I have
NO time for making walls. :/
but at least I get to use anime images for my first project.
I don't know much about Atkins, but my Mom lost 75 pounds on Weight Watchers and
I lost 25 and we've kept it off. So...I'll pimp WW.
....though I guess that isn't very helpful for your question...!
I tend to like the walls where there's a large image of a character. I suppose
it's more or less that I like ones where the focus is on the character and the
background goes well with that character, rather than a character stuck onto a
background that seems unnatural (Kenshin on a tech wall, for instance).
But it has has HAS to have room in the upper left-hand corner for icons so that
I can see them clearly, otherwise my background looks too cluttered to my eyes.
><
i tend to shy away from bright walls (which is strange, because I make a lot of
them) and like the darker walls, but anything well-done will catch my eye. I
guess I'm not really all that picky.

As far as I know, they don't have pop-ups. You'll be hard-pressed to find a free
host that doesn't have advertising of some kind, though. :/
As far as I know, you have to delete the old one. Though I suspect that if
there's a significant change, you could upload the new one and call it
"Version 2."
But think of it like this: If you really improve on a wallpaper you made after
receiving suggestions from the MT locals, do you really want the old version to
be what people see?
Well, I'd call 911, but if he was right there and I couldn't get to the phone,
or didn't want to have him hear me, yes, I'd whip out the ol' .38 Special and
give him a verbal warning. If the burglar was an idiot, yes, I would shoot him
(or her) because I feel I am worth protecting.
My Mom, on the other hand, wouldn't give a verbal warning. She'd just shoot, and
she's a sharp-shooter. Scary, huh?
Oh! One thing I've just run into is that I don't really like being notified when
folks on my friends list have posted on the forums. I'm suddenly getting a
loooot of Messages. ^^ BUT I don't want to take them off my Friends list.
Is there a way to turn the forum notify off?
Sometimes IE screws up and you can't save any image but as a .bmp. So you need
to go into your cache and clear it by doing this:
Close IE (well, you may not have to do this, but do it anyway )
Right-click your IE icon and choose "Properties"
Under Temporary Internet Files, click "delete files"
Then click OK.
I was 18 years old, a senior in high school. He was a little younger. ^^
It was a very nice first kiss, but sad in a way, because I knew I'd be leaving
and had quite a crush on him. And NO we did not "do the naughty." :p

I use BlackICE. I'm on a university provider, and there are TONS of worms and things floating around!

Once in a while it goes down, but it's usually there. LOVE that site.

I say one row (3 images?) of scans, two rows of walls.
Hey, dMp, I had a similar problem once, so I went to some forums and they helped me out: http://forums.spywareinfo.com/
Good luck!

I dunno, I think it puts a link in the "Messages" area whenever someone on your friend list posts on the forum...that could get annoying quick!
Also, thank you, suntiger, that helps a lot!

Hellooooooo good folks.
I don't have any Instant Message programs, but I need to make some icons for an upcoming project.
I know that LiveJoural icons are 100x100 and MSN icons are 50x50.
What is the size for AIM icons and also any other widely-used message services?
Thank you so much!
